Bud, I can’t stop thinking about how I wish I had given you a bigger and longer hug when you came to visit us in Dallas. I can’t wait to give you one as soon as I can. What you are doing is so important. I have heard from a number of mothers who have been through this with their children. Others are appreciative to share with their children should they ever feel this way. Bravo for being open. I know it’s not easy. Love you Bud. Xx Aunt Kinz
Thank you for sharing your story and focusing on the part of you that wants to live! We have not met, but we share the impact of mental health struggles in our family, too. We are in your corner! Please keep focused on you. 💓
Your words are so powerful; I feel as if I am right by your side. I am extremely proud of you and of your courage to share your story. You are in my daily thoughts, prayers and meditations. I send you huge hugs and prayers of strength this morning. 🙏🏻❤️🥰
William - your dad and I were friends growing up (my grandfather lived next door and we saw each other when I came to visit). I appreciate the courage it has taken to share your account. It is a world we all need to see and understand, and I feel I am seeing it clearly for they first time thanks to you. I lost a cousin to suicide and never understood why. Others in my family struggle with anxiety. Please know you are not alone and your voice is powerful. Keep moving forward and know you are loved and valued.
Just crying at the beauty of your writing and your experience. Your father sharing that he was proud of you (as he should be!), Jonathan saying the prayer for you both, so many moments. Keep writing and keep living, William.
I felt every word this week! The conversations you had with your father were practically identical to the ones I had with my own before I left. I will forever be great full for you doing this!!
William, you are a beautifully gifted writer. Please, don’t stop. Keep your heart focused on life. Johnny sounds like a wonderful gift. Such a kind, intelligent and insightful soul as you are is much needed in our world. Know that you are not alone. Much love to you and your family.
Your words are so profound and moving. I am bursting with pride for you, our grandson and for your dad, our son. At the same time I am brought to tears in knowing what you (and your dad and mom)were going through. I found myself feeling such empathy for you mother who could only wait in anguish. You are blessed with wonderful parents and wonderful loving sisters. Each of your articles have touched your Mimi and me so deeply. We love you and your 3 sisters so much and would be devastated if we lost any of you. Your courage and concern for others is so obvious to us. We are here for you in your journey. We love you all so much. “Meems” and G’dad
William, like the others, I am so very proud of you. I am also overwhelmed by your ability to put these words on paper. You have an amazing talent. I hope when the time is right you will incorporate this journal into a book. I am keeping you and all of your family in my prayers. Thank you for all you are doing for so many who are struggling.
William, I’m sorry we haven’t met, but I’ve known your Dad for as long as I can remember and was by his side the day he met your Mom. I can tell from reading your articles that you are an incredible person. You inspired me to look up the definition of “hero” which only confirmed what was already obvious: you are one in every way. I greatly admire your courage and am certain you are changing and saving lives with every word you so beautifully write. Please keep it up. So proud of you, and your parents and family for supporting you, in speaking out and telling your story.
Words cannot describe how proud I am of you.
